Default Hospitals

Approved hospitals are loaded in the system and updated when needed. While you cannot add a hospital you can request an update. Requests will be reviewed and approved before any changes to the global list is made.

From the lengthy global list, you can choose your frequently visited hospitals and create a pick list of default hospitals - one for receiving and one for referring. Narrowing the global list helps crews to quickly identify and choose the hospital as they enter their PCR data.

To create a pick list of frequently visited referring and receiving hospitals, click Configuration on the left navigation pane and then click the Code Tables tab.

Enter hospitals in the search area and select Default Receiving Hospitals or Default Referring Hospitals. Configuration is the same for both.

The top of the default hospital page shows hospitals currently in the pick list.

To add a default hospital to the pick list:

  1. Next to the 'Add hospital' field, click the spy glass.
  2. Search the global list by entering a partial name, full name, state, or type.

Note: Use the percent % sign to search for partial names. For example boulder% will bring up all hospitals starting with 'boulder'.

  3. Click the hospital from the list.
  4. Click Add to make that selection a default hospital. The hospital will then appear in the list at the top of the page.

If needed, click the 'Remove' link to remove the hospital from the pick list.
