What's New in Release 11.08

July 27, 2022

ZOLL Fire Reports 11.08 was tested in the Chrome web browser with the latest updates.

New features/enhancements

  • Analytics - new reports: New reports have been added in Analytics for all services.

    • Network Quality > Scene Times Global

    • Canned Reports > Date > Dispatch to Lock by Unit Global

  • Analytics - new field: A new field, 'Airway_Secured_Via', has been added to Analytics for all services. It is located under the 'PCR Primary Exam' data source and is a duplicate of the 'Air_Type' field, also located under the 'PCR Primary Exam' data source.

  • LOSAP - attendee list: The LOSAP landing page no longer displays the attendees names. Users with proper access rights can open the event to view the attendees. The grid continues to show the number of attendees for each event.

  • Last inspected date display: The Inspection grid has been updated to clarify the number of days since last inspection. The Last Inspected column now includes both the number of days since the last inspection and the date of that inspection.

  • Inspections - Property ID: The Inspections landing page now displays the Property ID for each building rather than the Property Use code.

  • Inspections - invoice preview: A new button labeled 'Preview Invoice' has been added to the Complete Inspection form. Clicking this button will generate a preview of the invoice before actually completing the inspection and sending the email. The invoice number and date are added after the inspection is marked complete.

  • autoCAD system date check: autoCAD has been modified so that incidents will now be automatically created if the dispatch date is within the past 30 days. Prior to this change, new incidents would not be created if the dispatch time was more than five minutes earlier than the current system time.

  • autoCAD import: When autoCAD is used to create incident reports, ZOLL Fire Reports will parse the location data into the distinct NFIRS elements of Street Number, Prefix, Name, Type, and Suffix.

  • Inspections - checklist status: When a checklist has been started during an inspection and the inspector leaves the checklist tab and later comes back to it, the selected checklist is now displayed with the words "In Progress" after the checklist name. Once a checklist is completed, the value with change to "Completed".

Note: If multiple checklists are In Progress or Completed, the first checklist that was selected will be displayed. Inspectors can click the drop-down to view the remaining checklists to see their status (In Progress or Completed).

  • Occupancy - History tab: A new History tab has been added to the Occupancy module. This tab tracks all changes made to the selected occupancy Name, ID, Station, and Property ID.

Note: Occupancy history changes are documented in EST. Future updates will improve this functionality.

  • LOSAP - notes character limit: The character limit of the notes field in the LOSAP / Training module has been increased to allow up to 4,000 characters.

  • Locked incident preview: When previewing a locked incident report, all narratives are displayed on the main form and the extra narratives sub-tab is no longer displayed.

Fixed issues

  • autoCAD processing manually imported records: When a service switches from manual CAD import to autoCAD, CAD data that had previously been imported into incident reports will no longer be reprocessed as new records.

    Notes

    • If a service switches from manual CAD import to autoCAD, any updates to the previously imported dispatch records will not be posted via autoCAD.

    • Once a service has switched to autoCAD, events with a dispatch date of 30 or more days in the past will not be processed.

  • autoCAD import: autoCAD will no longer process dispatches from a CAD service when the Fire CAD Import module is disabled for a service.

  • Automatically created LOSAP event dates: When a LOSAP event is automatically created by an NFIRS incident report, the End Date for the event can be blank. Users can now open those events and enter an End Date if desired.

Note: The ability to create LOSAP events from NFIRS incident reports is not currently available but will be restored in a future release of ZOLL Fire Reports.

  • NFIRS text overlay issue: The 'Show All Incomplete Incidents' toggle label on the NFIRS landing page no longer overlaps the toggle switch when viewed on a monitor connected to a desktop computer.

  • Duplicate re-inspections: New re-inspections are automatically created only when violations that have not been repaired exist on the inspection report.

  • Occupancy contact email: Emails of up to 70 characters in length can now be added for any contact in the Occupancy module.

  • Incidents - arson data: When a user selects any code in the field 'Suspected Motivation Factors' on the Arson tab and then changes the value to code 00 (Other Suspected Motivation), the new value is now properly saved.

  • Last Unit Cleared time: The Last Unit Cleared time on the Basic tab is now required for all incident types. This ensures incident reports where either the Fire or Wildland tabs are used will pass NFIRS validation.

  • Wildland Fire tab - Federal property code: When multiple properties are involved in a wildland fire and the fire originated on Federally owned land, the code selected for the Federal property location is now saved.

  • Hazmat - Story of Release: The 'Story of Release' field on the incident Hazmat tab is available when the field 'Release From' is equal to code 1 (Inside or On Structure). If a value is entered for 'Story of Release' and then the value for 'Release From' is changed to code 2 (Outside of Structure), the value previously entered for 'Story of Release' is now automatically removed from the report. This change ensures the report will pass NFIRS validation with no additional data entry required.

  • NFIRS - Property Use: When the Property Use code selected on Page 9 of a chart in emsCharts is equal to 464 (Barracks, Dormitory) and a Fire incident is created from the chart, a default value of NN (None) will be inserted into the 'Mixed Use' field. This change ensures the incident report will pass NFIRS Relational Edit rule 176.

  • NFIRS conversion codes, which may not be used for data entry, have been removed from the fields 'Property Use', 'On-Site Materials', and 'Items First Ignited'.

  • NFIRS - Fire tab: When Equipment or Mobile Property have been added to and then removed from an incident report, the record for the deleted data will no longer be included in the NFIRS export for that report.
