New features/enhancements

[ ZOLL UI ]

  • Procedure Logs: To maintain consistency in look and feel with other pages and reports, we updated the formatting and functionality of the Procedure Logs page and the output of the Procedure Logs report.

  • Crew and service selection fields: The way the crew and service selection fields display has been updated to include the option to remove existing selections, or when appropriate, allow the user to not make a selection at all. This, in effect, will function in the same way that the "Select None" option functions in the Legacy UI.

Fixed issues

[ ZOLL UI ] [ LEGACY UI ]

  • Text fields for Custom Forms: In the May 2022 update, we introduced four new free-text fields for documenting signatory information when capturing signatures. In this release we have fixed an issue that resulted in the free-text fields for unused signature tabs being included in the printout of completed Custom Forms built with the ability to add more than one signature. Now, free-text fields are only included in completed Custom Forms when a signature has been obtained on that tab.

  • Stroke Scale scores: We fixed an issue where some Stroke Scale score answers were being displayed twice in the selection list for each question. Since the answers displayed were duplicated and represented the same numeric score value, the answer selected did not effect the total calculated score.

  • Importing items into Inventory module: We fixed an issue affecting some services that caused some items imported into the Inventory module from a CSV or TSV file to not be added to the inventory list and not display within the module. Items imported from a CSV or TSV file are now added to the inventory list and editable just like manually created inventory items.

  • SCT Level of Service in Chart Summary: We fixed an issue that caused the Ventilator action to not appear in Chart Summary, resulting in the chart being classified as ALS instead of SCT.

  • Assessments performed by 'Other': We fixed an issue that caused the crew member performing the Assessment procedure in the Activity Log to not display properly when the 'Other' option was selected as the crew member.

  • Command Facility Custom Reports - blood product ID: Custom Reports using the 'Blood ID' from Page 7 or Page 8 were not including the blood product ID's in the output for those reports at the Command Facility level when the blood product ID's were documented in charts affiliated with that Command Facility. This is fixed and Command Facilities using Custom Reports with the blood product ID included in the output will now see the values as expected.

  • Attachments for support tickets: We fixed an issue with how attachments are formatted when saved to support tickets. This change ensures users and support personnel are able to open or download attachments in their original format without the need to convert the attachment from base64 format.

  • PCS Signature Date: Some services reported an issue when a patient date of birth was not entered in a chart, and then the PCS Signature Date selector was used to select a date for the PCS Signature, that caused the patient age to update to a calculated age based on the PCS Signature Date. This is fixed and the patient age remains as entered until a date of birth is documented or the age is updated manually.

  • Duration of Complaint: We fixed an issue that was preventing users from entering a three-digit measurement of time in the Duration of Complaint field. This fix also expanded the Duration of Complaint field to accept three-digits for Primary Complaint, Secondary Complaint, and Other Complaint sections on Page 2 of a chart.

  • ZOLL EKG update: The Case Review link on the Entire Chart page will now be available on all charts that have a ZOLL case file attached to it, even when multiple services share ZOLL EKG devices. The Case Review link takes users to the ZOLL Online Case Review application to view EKG information.

Note: Users must still have valid permissions to the Case Review application in order to view the EKG case information in Case Review.

[ ZOLL UI ]

  • E-Sign attestation: We fixed an issue affecting some users that caused them to have to scroll down within the Crew Signature window to view the complete eSignature attestation. The need to scroll down within the window was not intuitive or apparent to users. We have re-sized the Crew Signature window to ensure the attestation text and checkbox are always visible to users without the need to scroll.

  • Times Out of Sequence error: Some services received a "Times Out of Sequence" error when later editing chart times after a chart was created and times documented with a disposition of 'Treated, Transported by EMS' (or equivalent). To fix this, we made two changes to Page 1 time sequence related items.

    1. The logic for the 'Transfer of Care EMS' time has been updated to use the NEMSIS v3 mappings for the Transport Outcomes/Patient Disposition selection values instead of the NEMSIS v2 mappings.

    2. The logic for the 'In Quarters' time has been updated to allow it to be before or after the 'Available' time.

Administrators of Command Facilities and Regions are encouraged to evaluate custom values in the Transport Outcomes/Patient Disposition code table to ensure the proper NEMSIS v3 mapping for each option.
