Important! ZOLL emsCharts NOW 1.0 is the first general release of ZOLL emsCharts NOW. Before installing ZOLL emsCharts NOW version 1.0, please read the following list of new features, functionality, and bug fixes and the current known issues. Application Core functionality
This section includes new features, functionality, and bug fixes. The video below will provide an overview of the changes.
Crew/unit information - Shift Startup
You can enter detailed information about your shift (Shift, Base, staffing level, Vehicle, Crew members, Roles) on this screen. This data will populate the corresponding fields in the charts created over the course of the session.
Note: While it is not required to fill out the Shift Startup page, we highly recommend entering vehicle and crew information at minimum.
Patient Charts
This screen will display a list of patient care reports (PCR's), created by the logged in user, that have yet to be uploaded to ZOLL emsCharts Web. From this page you can create new charts, open existing charts to review or edit, or delete charts.
Note: Upon successful upload of a chart, all chart data is removed from the device.
Timeline
From the Timeline you have several options including:

View a chronological list of chart times and timestamps for actions entered into ZOLL emsCharts NOW.

View a summary of the trip information.

Capture vitals for a patient.

Capture actions performed for a patient.
Trip Information
You can view a high-level summary of patient and trip information for your chart. As data is entered into the chart, the corresponding fields are updated on the Trip Information page.
CAD Import
You can import CAD data for your assigned calls.

The CAD Import module must be enabled for your Service.

You must be associated with a Security Role that includes the 'Import CAD data into chart' option.

CAD records returned for import will be unique to the vehicle entered in the Shift Startup screen if using the 'filter by unit' option for CAD Import.

CAD records returned for import will respect the ZOLL emsCharts 'Hours to show in mobile/tablet' configuration option.

CAD records can include scene and destination information, patient information, and call priority information.

When a CAD record is selected, you will be able to choose which data is imported.
Note: All CAD data is selected for import by default.
Dispatch - Trip Information
You can capture information specific to the trip such as dispatch priority, dispatched as, and disposition.
Note: Imported CAD data can populate on this screen.
Dispatch - Pickup Address
Here you can capture information specific to the scene of the call such as location, type of location, and address.
Note: Imported CAD data can populate on this screen.
When address and zip code are present, a Google Maps icon will appear next to the address field. You can click the Google Maps icon to launch the Google Maps application with directions to the address.

Location must be enabled and location permissions must be granted.
Entering a zip code will automatically populate the corresponding city and state.

Dispatch - Destination Address
Here you can capture information specific to the destination of the call such as location, type of location, and address.
Note: Imported CAD data can populate on this screen.

Patient - Patient Information - Patient Demographics
You can capture patient demographic data such as name, DOB, and age.
Note: Imported CAD data can populate on this screen.
You can also import patient demographic information using the 'Scan Driver's License' feature. When a driver's license is scanned, you are presented with a list of the data available to import.
Note: Camera permissions must be granted.
Patient - Patient Information - Patient Medical History
You can capture patient medical history and related items.
Patient - Patient Information - Patient Allergies
You can capture medication and environmental patient allergy information.
Patient - Patient Information - Patient Medications
You can capture patient medication information.
Patient - Billing
Capture insurance and billing related information in each section:

Insurance Information.

Relationships and Guarantors.

Payment Information.

CMS Information.
-
PCS Information.
-
Authorization Information.
Patient - CC, HPI
Capture information such as chief complaint, history of present illness, and initial patient acuity.
Patient - Narrative
You can add a narrative with details about your call.
Note: If your device has a microphone and dictation is enabled in the device settings, you can use voice-to-text for free-text fields. Voice-to-text capabilities are enabled solely by the native tools on the user's device and are not part of the ZOLL emsCharts NOW functionality provided by ZOLL.
Times
Capture relevant status timestamps for your call.

Previous times can be manually entered.

Current timestamps can be automatically generated using the stopwatch icon.

Imported CAD data can populate on this screen.
Quick Actions
Leverage your Service's Quick Actions Buttons. Quick Actions are entered with a single tap.

Quickly capture the number of times an action is performed.

The timer starts upon tapping the Quick Action Button.
-
Each Quick Action is automatically added to the Timeline.
Attachments
Capture Standard Signatures and access the driver's license scanner.

Supports portrait mode to display your Service's customizable legal verbiage for each Signature Section.
-
Supports landscape mode to provide a larger canvas for capturing signatures.
-
You must tap Save to save the captured signature to the chart.

You can view captured signatures by tapping Display Attachments on the Attachments home screen.
Upload
You can upload your chart and all the captured data to ZOLL emsCharts Web where you can complete and lock your chart.

Upon successful upload you will be presented with the unique PRID assigned to your chart.

Upon successful upload you will be presented with a URL you can tap to take you to your chart in ZOLL emsCharts Web.

Upon successful upload you will be presented with a QR code that can be scanned to take your or other users in your Service to the chart in ZOLL emsCharts Web.
Known Issues
Past Medical History
For the Surgical History Layout configuration, only 'Basic' and 'ICD/NEMSIS Basic' configurations are supported with version 1.0.
Narrative
This page does not respect Service configurations and will always be displayed in version 1.0.
Actions and Quick Action Buttons
Not all Actions and Quick Actions will be displayed in version 1.0.
Service selection
Users associated with multiple Services that utilize ZOLL emsCharts NOW will need to log out of the application to switch Services in version 1.0.
