Field location changes

In the [ ZOLL UI ], the 'Mental Present' and 'Mental Not Present' fields for documenting mental assessments have been moved to Page 5 if the Anatomical Exam configuration is set to 'Yes, v3 Body' or 'Yes, v3.5 Body'.

Configuration: 

  • Command Fac. > Chart > Page 5 > Anatomical Exam

  • Service > Chart > Other Pages > Anatomical Exam

    Note: The Service configuration option is only available if the Command Facility Anatomical Exam is set to 'Optional'. Setting either Command Fac. or Service Anatomical Exam configuration to 'Yes, v3.5 Body' will not only move these items to Page 5, but will also enable the new NEMSIS 3.5 exam locations on Page 5.

Field location changes

In the [ ZOLL UI ], the 'Neurological Present' and 'Neurological Not Present' fields for documenting neurological assessments have been moved to Page 5 if the Anatomical Exam configuration is set to 'Yes, v3 Body' or 'Yes, v3.5 Body'.

Required

The 'Time Last Known Well' field is now required for NEMSIS 3.5. The pertinent negative 'Unable to Complete' value has been added as a checkbox and the values of 'Not Recorded' and 'Not Applicable' will be handled in the extract.

Notes:

  • This field is only required for NEMSIS 3.5, not 3.3.4 or 3.4.

  • The 'Unable to Complete' checkbox has only been added to the [ ZOLL UI ]. If a chart with the 'Unable to Complete' box checked in the [ ZOLL UI ] is opened in the [ LEGACY UI ], the 'Time Last Known Well' field will be disabled so that a date cannot be entered.

 

Required

The Los Angeles stroke scale type has been removed from the 'Stroke Scale' selection list. Several other stroke scale types have been renamed and added.

Renamed stroke scale types:

  • Cincinnati >> Cincinnati (CPSS)

  • Massachusetts >> Massachusetts (MSS)

  • MEND >> Miami (MEND)

  • NIH >> NIHSS

  • F.A.S.T. Exam >> FAST-ED

New stroke scale types:

  • LA Pre-Hosp (LAPSS)

  • Boston (BOSS)

  • Ontario (OPSS)

  • Melbourne (MASS)

  • LA Motor (LAMS)

  • RACE (already existed in ZOLL emsCharts but has been added to NEMSIS 3.5 extract)

Notes: 

  • Old charts with the Los Angeles stroke scale type will still show Los Angeles unless it is manually removed.

  • These changes also apply to the 'Stroke Scale' field on Page 8.

Configuration: Administrators can enable new stroke scale types in Configuration > Command Fac. > Code Tables > Stroke Scales.
