Remote Downloader

Remote Downloader is a tool that monitors a web service for new charts and automatically downloads them into a specific directory. It is also used by ZOLL Care Exchange to export patient data to hospitals.

Minimum supported version

Current or previously released version. Get the latest version of Remote Downloader from the ZOLL emsCharts support software site.

Varies based on storage requirements by agency - requires at least enough space to hold the desired number of records from the service plus 200 MB for the application logging.

• TCP-IP: proxy.emcharts.com, port(s) 5050 – 5069.

  Outbound connection and bi-directional communication must be permitted through the firewall.

• AES-256 encrypted data is sent over this TCP-IP Socket connection.

  • Access must be allowed (passed through) without a web user proxy.

  • Remote Downloader status information is sent over this Web Service.

Additional ZOLL Care Exchange requirements

Two separate servers with Remote Downloader installed and configured; one for production and one for testing.
