Real BVM Help - Performance Summary View
Real BVM Help on the CaseReview Performance summary page displays the exact BVM ventilation rate and volumes received from the X Series monitors such as:
- In-target values and averages
- Target ranges
- Mid-case target rate/volume changes
When the vent rate is set to 30:2 or Off, CaseReview will:
-
No longer display dots in the Ventilation Rate chart.
-
Exclude vents performed from the following metric calculations:
-
% in target
-
Average rate
-
Rate in Target
-

Mouse-over the Ventilation Performance charts to see the volumes and rates. Real BVM target bars (volume/rate) show the actual targets set on the X Series monitor and the in-target range.
In the following figure, the 30:2 target was selected (blue ventilation rate target bar) and then changed to ‘OFF’ (no blue ventilation rate target bar but the ventilation dots are still visible).
Ventilation Summary
Real BVM Help provides a summary of BVM ventilation volume and rate performance that is similar to the CPR Summary.
Note: Because no targets exist, this summary is not available for leads, pads, and EtCO2 derived ventilations.
In cases where the target is 30:2 or 'Off', there can be cases where there are no valid vent counts to include in the summary metrics. If this happens the summary boxes for ‘Rate in Target’, and ‘Rate and Volume in Target’ will be blank and “N/A” will display underneath the boxes
