Performance Summary Overview

Performance Summary provides insight on the quality of CPR. Use it as a training tool to improve patient care quality at hospitals and EMS organizations. ZOLL monitors/defibrillators provide the data used on this page.

Accessing Performance Summary

  1. On the CaseReview navigation bar, click Manage Cases.
  2. Click the case start time.
  3. Click the Performance Summary tab.

Reviewed Cases

Once you have reviewed the information associated with this case, check the 'Reviewed' box.

If you click the 'Reviewed' button, you can filter on fitler cases based on that criteria.

By utilizing the 'Reviewed' checkbox, you can set the filter on the Manage Cases and CPR Trend pages to only show those cases that have or have not been reviewed.

CPR Performance

This section dynamically displays the data present in the case regarding CPR performance. Charts for CPR/pause periods, CPR depth, CPR rate, Compression target, and CPR release velocity display in this area. If ventilation data is present in the case, ventilation charts for rate and ETCO2 also display just under the CPR Performance section.

The CPR Performance displays CPR/pause periods, CPR depth, CPR rate, Compression target, and CPR release veloctiy.

CPR Summary

This section shows how CPR was performed. Quality metric for chest compression fraction, CPR pause lengths, compression depth and rates, display in this area.

Note: The following graphic shows the CPR Summary when AutoPulse is ON. If AutoPulse is off, only the ALL CPR section displays.

CPR Summary shows how CPR was performed in the case.

CPR Times

The CPR Times section shows facts that may be pertinent to how the CPR was performed. Case power on/off time, pads on time, time to first compression, and time to first shock/compression display in this area.

AutoPulse OFF

CPR Times shows facts such as case power on/off time, pads on time, time to first compression, and time to first shock.

AutoPulse ON: When AutoPulse is ON, the CPR Times table will include an additional row that displays the time it took to start the AutoPulse device (activation time) from case start to the first manual compression, and the transition time from manual compression to AutoPulse.

  • Power on time: The clock time on the ZOLL device when the device was powered on.
  • Pads on time: The clock time on the ZOLL device after the device was turned on, the pads connected to the device, and the pads applied to the patient.
  • Power off time: The clock time on the ZOLL device when the device was powered off.
  • Time to first compression: Duration of time from device power on time until the first compression (in the first CPR Period that is not in a pause).
  • Time to first shock: The duration from power on time until the first shock was delivered using the ZOLL device.
  • Total time in CPR: The duration of whole seconds of combined time for all CPR and pause periods. The time is rounded up to the next whole second.

CPR Pauses

The CPR Pauses section displays the duration of time of the top ten longest CPR pauses in the case. Mechanical compressions display if AutoPulse is in the case. For quick analysis of pauses in a ten row view, toggle the duration and time columns. The data in the table can be exported to a 'Individual Pauses.csv' report.

The CPR Pauses section displays the duration of time of the top ten longest CPR pauses in the case.

  • Total Duration: Includes pauses with both manual and mechanical events. Toggle between longest and shortest.
  • Time: Toggle between chronology or tied to duration length.
  • Manual Pause: Displays pause durations within manual CPR times.
  • Mechanical Pauses: Displays the duration of each pause inside an AutoPulse CPR time. Pre shock/post-shock includes the same data for three pauses.
