Profit Center Overview
Profit centers are a way to gather data on the number and type of transports that occur within a geographical region (Geographical Zone of Transport Region) or some other grouping (name). You can use this data to better understand your staffing requirements, resource needs, and overall performance.
Report alert!: Use 'All adjustment details', 'All charge details', and 'All payment details' reports to pull information from profit centers.
By default, the profit centers feature is disabled. Once enabled, a profit center must exists for every claim. Claims being worked prior to enabling this feature will not require a profit center; however, you can go back and add them if you want.
Important! If you define profit centers by name or geographical zone, and then change from one to the other, all configuration changes will be lost. For geographical zones, that means that all the zones you drew on the map will be gone. Be sure you want to make the change before proceeding.
